GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo.—A former Aspen police officer suspected of reporting to work intoxicated and then driving has pleaded guilty to reckless driving.
Jim Crowley pleaded guilty Monday and was fined $150 by a Garfield County judge. Crowley also was ordered to undergo unsupervised probation until attending an alcohol education class.
Crowley was fired last year, after 18 years in law enforcement, after a colleague reported smelling alcohol on Crowley’s breath at work.
The case was transferred to Garfield County to avoid a conflict of interest.
