DENVER—A United Airlines plane has landed safely in Denver after the pilot reported a problem with a hydraulic system.

United spokeswoman Megan McCarthy says the plane was carrying 101 passengers and crew on a flight from Kansas City to Denver on Saturday when the pilot declared an emergency as a precaution.

She says the plane landed at 6 a.m.

McCarthy says she doesn’t know the specifics of the problem but says the plane has two backup hydraulic systems.
