OMAHA—The Nebraska Mexican-American Commission is in need of a new leader after its longtime director retired, its interim director resigned and as the state agency approaches what’s shaping up to be a busy 2010. Longtime director Cecilia Huerta resigned in June. Now, Angel Freytez, who began filling in as acting director in May 2008 while Huerta was on medical leave, submitted his resignation this week.
