PARKER — A Boy Scout troop is sorting more than 5,000 holiday cards that will be delivered to active-duty military personnel and veterans around the world.
Sean Lafrance of Parker is spearheading the campaign as part of his Eagle Scout leadership project. He and other members of Troop 16 were sorting the cards Saturday.
The 17-year-old Lafrance says he was looking for a way to say thanks to U.S. troops.
The American Red Cross will deliver them to servicemen and women and veterans at military installations, hospitals and other facilities worldwide as part of its Holiday Mail for Heroes Program.
