HEALTH OVERHAUL-NELSON
OMAHA—State Republicans on Monday accused Democratic Sen. Ben Nelson of abandoning his principles and Nebraska by joining three other moderates in voting to support Senate debate on a health care overhaul. Nebraska GOP Chairman Mark Fahleson said the health care bill lacks bipartisan support and doesn’t directly prohibit the use of taxpayer money for abortions, so it would seem to violate Nelson’s anti-abortion stance.
