Cross-Sell, a Lexington, Ky.- based provider of market-analysis reports for automotive dealers, on Monday reported Colorado October title transactions for new cars were down 13.9 percent and used-car transactions by dealers were off 6.7 percent from October 2008. For private-party transactions, activity was off 2.1 percent over the same period.
A total of 13,953 new vehicles and 23,523 used vehicles were titled by automotive dealers in the state last month. An additional 21,122 used vehicles were titled as private-party transactions.
These figures compare with a total of 16,206 new-vehicle titles, 25,220 used-vehicle titles by dealers and 21,584 used-vehicle private-party transactions for October 2008.
