FORT CARSON, Colo.—The 2nd Brigade Combat Team of Fort Carson’s 4th Infantry Division is getting a new commander.
Col. John S. Kolasheski (koh-la-SHES’-ski) takes over as brigade commander on Tuesday. He replaces Col. Henry A. Kievenaar III (KEE’-ve-nar the third).
Six battalion commanders who report to the brigade commander will also take over Tuesday.
The brigade returned to Fort Carson in August after 12 months in Iraq. A brigade usually has about 3,600 soldiers.
