The Mountain West Conference reprimanded BYU defensive end Jan Jorgensen and assistant coach Barry Lamb for comments they made about Air Force.
Jorgensen called the Falcons “legal, but dirty” and Lamb criticized Air Force for low cut blocks in a story that appeared in the Provo Daily Herald last week.

Rapids release protection list.
With the newly formed Philadelphia Union set to select a roster in the MLS expansion draft Wednesday, the Rapids announced their list of protected players: goalkeeper Matt Pickens; defenders Julien Baudet, Cory Gibbs, Kosuke Kimura and Drew Moor; midfielders Colin Clark, Nick LaBrocca, Pablo Mastroeni and Jamie Smith; and forwards Conor Casey and Omar Cummings.
