GREELEY, Colo.—A University of Northern Colorado chapter of the Delta Chi fraternity has lost an appeal of sanctions it faced following allegations of hazing and inappropriate use of alcohol.
University spokesman Nate Haas says the school ruled Monday that the fraternity will be sanctioned. It cannot use the university’s name or resources and cannot participate in campus-sponsored activities.
Haas says the fraternity can reapply to become affiliated with the university in the spring of 2013.
Fraternity leaders didn’t return phone calls for comment by the Greeley Tribune on Tuesday.
