GREELEY, Colo.—A 24-year-old Fort Collins man convicted in a home break-in has been sentenced to 42 years in prison.
Trinidad Ramos and 20-year-old David Garza of Greeley were accused of breaking into a home in Evans, threatening the residents at knifepoint, and stealing their car last December. Both were caught on the campus of Colorado State University after a car and foot chase.
Ramos was convicted in October of aggravated motor vehicle theft, vehicular eluding and two counts each of first-degree burglary and aggravated robbery. He was sentenced Tuesday.
Garza pleaded guilty to first-degree burglary and is set to be sentenced Wednesday.
