The NFL Network eavesdropped one of the most demonstrative head coach in NFL history — Josh McDaniels — and wound up having to apologize for it.
McDaniels had gathered his offense on the sideline after it spoiled a first-and-goal opportunity with not one, not two, but three illegal motion penalties in the first half Thursday night. The drive ended in a field goal.
McDaniels let the offense have it, cuss words and all. The NFL Network carries McDaniels’ motivational speech live. Oops. The network came back and apologized to viewers.
