DENVER—The Colorado Avalanche have recalled forward Chris Durno and defenseman Brian Fahey from the Lake Erie Monsters of the American Hockey League.
The team said both players would be available for Friday’s game against the Minnesota Wild. The Avalanche also said defenseman T.J. Hensick was being sent to Lake Erie and that defenseman Adam Foote was placed on the injured reserve list retroactive to Nov. 17 because of a jaw injury.
This is the third time Durno has been recalled this season. He leads the Monsters in scoring with 15 points in 14 games. The Scarborough, Ontario native has played in five games with the Avalanche this season, getting one assist.
The Avalanche acquired Fahey from the New York Ranger in July and he has appeared in all 20 of the Monsters’ games this season.
