After a high-speed chase, troopers stopped a stolen car Friday night near Fort Collins, but two suspects were still at large.
A Colorado State Patrol trooper first stopped the purple 1996 Saturn near the Prospect exit at 9:10 p.m., according to Sgt. John Hahn. One of the three people in the car ran off, and the car sped south on Interstate 25.
Shortly afterward, troopers stopped the car near the Harmony exit after performing a “PIT” (Precision Immobilization Technique) maneuver. The female driver fled into a nearby field, Hahn said.
The passenger who remained in the car was arrested.
At one point during the short pursuit, speeds reached 100 mph.
The car was reported stolen Friday in Greeley, Hahn said.
