DENVER—Tony Mosey scored two goals Saturday as St. Cloud State knocked off conference-leading and second-ranked Denver 3-2 in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association.

Ryan Lasch added a goal and an assist for the Huskies (6-6-2, 5-4-1 WCHA), who earned a split of the two-game series after dropping the opener 5-3 on Friday.

Lasch and Mosey scored early to give St. Cloud State a 2-0 lead after one period. Forty-five seconds after Tyler Ruegsegger pulled the Pioneers (10-3-1, 7-2-1) within a goal at 11:15 of the third period, Mosey scored again for a 3-1 lead.

Ruegsegger scored again at 17:30.

Dan Dunn had 26 saves for St. Cloud State and Marc Cheverie had 24 saves for Denver.

The Pioneers remain in a first-place tie in the WCHA with Colorado College, which lost 3-2 in overtime to Alaska-Anchorage on Saturday.
