FRANKFORT, Ky.—The Kentucky Horse Racing Commission has hired a Colorado man to fill a key position overseeing pari-mutuel wagering.
Gregory Lamb has been an auditor with the Colorado Division of Racing events for the past 18 years.
Gov. Steve Beshear said the hiring is part of Kentucky’s effort to restore integrity to the state’s horse racing industry and to help the state maintain the title of Horse Capital of the World.
The position had been vacant because of funding issues.
Lamb is set to start the new job on Tuesday.
