PUEBLO — Authorities said an “out of control” 10-year-old was hit with a Taser stun gun and arrested by sheriff’s deputies in Pueblo West. Sheriff Kirk Taylor said Thursday that the two deputies involved acted appropriately.

Sheriff’s officials say the boy was not hurt when deputies took action Monday after arriving at his home, where he was reportedly destroying property and threatening his foster father with a 2-foot pipe and a stick. A deputy used the Taser after the boy refused to drop the pipe. He was booked into Pueblo Youth Center on suspicion of menacing with a deadly weapon. The Associated Press
