EAST LANSING, Mich. — Raymar Morgan had 19 points and 11 rebounds, both season highs, to help the Spartans (6-2) beat the Terriers (4-5) on Friday night.

No. 19 Texas A&M 74, Akron 62

COLLEGE STATION, Texas — Donald Sloan had 17 points, including a 3-pointer in the game-changing 7-0 run, and the Aggies (7-1) snapped the Zips’ (4-3) four-game win streak.

AREA MEN

Metro State 70, Fort Lewis 65

Brian Minor scored 13 of his career-high 22 points in the second half as the Roadrunners (4-1, 1-0 RMAC), ranked No. 12 in Division II, held off Fort Lewis (5-1, 0-1).

Colorado Mines 86, Western St. 67

GOLDEN — The Orediggers (4-1, 1-0 RMAC) wiped out a three-point halftime deficit with a 23-12 run to open the second half. Dale Minschwaner led Mines with 29 points.

NATIONAL WOMEN

No. 15 Arizona State 65, Idaho State 56

TEMPE, Ariz. — Danielle Orsillo scored 18 points and the Sun Devils (5-1) pulled away in the second half for a victory over the Bengals (1-7) in the ASU Classic.

Bowling Green 66, No. 16 Vanderbilt 60

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Tracy Pontius scored 19 points, and Tamika Nurse made three 3-pointers and finished with 15 points for the Falcons (5-2), who also upset Vandy (7-1) in the ’07 NCAA Tournament.

No. 21 DePaul 67, Illinois-Chicago 56

CHICAGO — Sam Quigley scored a season- high 21 points and made 4-of-6 3-pointers for the Blue Demons (6-2), who held off the pesky Flames (1-6).

AREA WOMEN

Air Force 68, Chicago State 48

AIR FORCE ACADEMY — Freshman guard Alicia Leipprandt scored 20 points, including 4-of-5 on 3-pointers, as the Falcons (2-5) routed the Cougars (3-6).

Metro State 75, Fort Lewis 65

The host Roadrunners (4-1) closed the game on a 22-14 run to beat the Skyhawks (8-1), who are ranked No. 3 in Division II. Leandra Sands led Metro with 28 points. Katie Mackey had 13 for FLC. It was Metro’s first win over a ranked team since Feb. 10, 2007.

Colorado Mines 66, Western State 52

GOLDEN — Angie Charchalis’ 3-pointer ignited a 22-8 first-half run, and the Orediggers (4-2, 1-0 RMAC) led by as many as 18 points against the Mountaineers (1-5, 0-1). Charchalis finished with 23 points.
