BESTS
Playoff possibility:
At 8-4, the Broncos are in control of the wild-card standings. It also helps their playoff push that they get to play the Chiefs again in a month.
Running wild:
The Chiefs, despite having two first-round draft picks on their defensive line, had no way to stop Denver’s running backs.
Three takeaways:
Cornerback Andre Goodman intercepted a pass and returned a fumble for a touchdown, and safety Renaldo Hill also intercepted a pass.
WORSTS
Harris hurt:
Right tackle Ryan Harris’ return lasted less than a quarter. He left the game midway through the Broncos’ second series with a new injury (right foot).
Orton’s errors:
Quarterback Kyle Orton wasn’t particularly sharp, throwing an interception in the end zone and losing two fumbles.
Empty Arrowhead:
Kansas City had no December magic, on the field or in the stands. Arrowhead was never full, and it was mostly empty midway through the fourth quarter.
