FORT COLLINS, Colo.—A man arrested in the stabbing death of a young woman in Fort Collins is facing a first-degree murder charge.

Twenty-year-old Horacio Javier Pasillas-Rodriguez was advised of the potential charge in court on Friday, a day after he was arrested in the death of 21-year-old Elizabeth Olivas.

Both lived at the townhome where Olivas was found on Tuesday but authorities haven’t said what their relationship was.

Pasillas-Rodriguez is being held without bond.

Several neighbors say they believe Olivas lived in the unit with her husband and two young children.

Her death is the county’s sixth homicide this year.
