Getting your player ready...

Height: 6-feet-2.

Weight: 149 pounds.

Age: 15. Born: Dec. 28, 1993, in Denver.

High school sport: Swimming (2009 state champion in 100-yard backstroke and 50 freestyle, and member of champion 400 free and 200 medley relays; 2009 swimmer of the year by The Denver Post).

Grade-point average: 3.8.

Class: Sophomore.

My favorite subject: Honors chemistry.

My favorite athlete: Ryan Lochte.

My favorite team: Avalanche.

What I listen to: Mostly country, some alternative and rock.

The best things on my training table: Panda Express, but before a meet it’s pasta and bread.

Premeet ritual: I’m religious about stretching before every race.

Time management tip: I take advantage of off periods during the day at school, then at night I get as much homework done as I can or I do it the next morning. Sleep is very important.

Planned career: I’m leaning toward chemical engineering or something in the math and science areas.

My family: Parents Teresa and Dave, sister Loren.

I would love to visit: Australia.

What I like most about high school sports: I really like how it’s very team-oriented and you get to know all the girls on team relay well. It’s more of a team sport (than club).

What I like least about high school sports: There are definitely parts to get frustrated about — a lot of inner competition between girls, a lot of gossips . . . it’s just different.
