AURORA, Colo.—A charity giving Christmas presents to children got a generous donation of bicycles, but now they need helmets to make the gifts complete.
Toys for Tots officials say they can’t give the 100 bikes they’ve received to children without helmets. The charity is now asking for helmets of all sizes so children can get the bikes.
The charity says they got the bikes from a group of friends who organize a party every year with the challenge of seeing who can bring the most and best gifts to donate.
Those wishing to donate helmets can do so through Dec. 16 at any Toys for Tots collection spot, including Walgreens and NAPA Auto Parts.
