Three people were arrested this morning in Aurora after gunshots were reported between occupants in two cars around 11 a.m. near the intersection of 13th Avenueand Jamaica Street.
After descriptions of the two cars involved in the shootings were announced over a police radio, Aurora police officers spotted one of the two suspect cars that was trying to flee the area.
After an attempt to stop the car proved unsuccessful the car sped off and police chased it to the 2300 block of Fulton Street,where it crashed into a parked car.
Authorities said a male and female in the car surrendered while a third suspect fled the scene on foot, but was later found hiding in a backyard and arrested.
Police said they found two handguns and they collected bullet shell casings in the 1300 block of Jamaica St.
Nobody was injured in the incident.
The three suspects were taken to the Aurora Detention Center cq. Police don’t know what motivated the shooting and the identification of the suspects were not released late this afternoon.
