More than 40 Latino community leaders today are expected to announce their endorsement of Democratic Gov. Bill Ritter and Lt. Gov. Barbara O’Brien, who are running for re-election.
The event will include state Sens. Abel Tapia and Paula Sandoval, former state Sens. Polly Baca and Paul Sandoval, former House Speaker Ruben Valdez, Democratic National Committee member Mannie Rodriguez and former Colorado Latino Forum chairman Joe Salazar.
The announcement will be at 1:30 p.m. at the Tivoli Student Union on the Auraria campus.
