DENVER—A Montrose man has been sentenced to 10 years in federal prison, followed by five years of supervised release, for coercion and enticement of a minor.
Vernon L. Estes pleaded guilty in September and was sentenced Friday. He will be required to register as a sex offender.
A plea agreement says the 54-year-old would go to an online chat room and pose as a modeling agent who was seeking young teenage girls for child pornography. The plea agreement says some of the people he chatted with were undercover agents posing as teen girls.
