The 35-year-old man whose body was found Sunday in a trash bin in an alley near East 22nd Avenue and Emerson Street has been identified as Charles Moore Hardy.
The Denver coroner’s office said an autopsy will be performed on Hardy today to determine the cause and manner of death.
Hardy was found in the alley between Emerson and Clarkson streets.
Police spokesman Joe J. Ramirez said Sunday that investigators hadn’t determined if Hardy was homeless or if he was the victim of foul play.
A resident who lives in the area, Jerome Haigood, said that the area is frequented by homeless people and gang members.
Haigood said he was not surprised that a body was found.
