Residents near Eighth Avenue and Colorado Boulevard are on alert tonight as police search for two bank robbers.
The pair, wearing ski masks and hoodies, robbed the US Bank at 730 Colorado Blvd. at gunpoint at about 5:40 p.m., said Denver police spokesman Joe J. Ramirez.
The men left the bank on foot going east.
Residents, as well as those attending activities at Hill Middle School, 451 Clermont St., were urged to stay inside and report suspicious activity to police. Some streets were blocked off, creating problems for residents trying to get home.
Four men in their early 20s wearing masks and brandishing handguns robbed the US bank at 10190 East Colfax Ave. in Aurora at about 9:30 a.m. today.
