GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.—A man has been arrested for allegedly showing a BB pistol on a Grand Junction city bus.
Police say 24-year-old Chad M. Thompson was arrested on suspicion of endangering public transportation after a woman riding the bus said he showed her the grip of the gun.
The woman says Thompson saw her texting a friend about problems with an ex-boyfriend and asked her if he could “take care of that” for her.
The woman says she felt threatened and reported the incident.
Thompson was arrested Monday and appeared in court Tuesday. Police say he denied showing the gun.
Police say they found a BB pistol, a marijuana pipe and seeds in Thompson’s backpack.
Thompson told police a friend had recently given him the backpack.
