TRINIDAD, Colo.—Authorities say a 7-year-old child was killed and three people were injured when a minivan rolled on Interstate 25 in southern Colorado.
The Colorado State Patrol says the minivan was southbound in Trinidad County Friday morning when it veered off the right side and then rolled into the median when the driver overcorrected.
The patrol says the driver, Christy Sue Mosman of Colorado Springs, was seriously injured. Two other children in the vehicle, a 9-year-old and a 10-year-old, suffered moderate injuries.
The patrol says all three children were wearing seat belts. Their names haven’t been released.
The patrol says Mosman and the child who was killed were both thrown from the van. It’s not clear whether Mosman was wearing a seat belt.
