CAIRO — Egypt’s chief antiquities official, Zahi Hawass, says he will formally demand the return of the bust of Queen Nefertiti from Berlin’s Egyptian Museum after the museum’s director presented documents revealing that the excavator of the 3,300-year-old limestone bust used fraudulent papers to take it out of Egypt in 1913.
