A contractor who died Saturday after falling into a well at the airport has been identified as Benjamin Remley, 54, of Windsor.

Remley accidentally fell down a 40-foot manhole in Denver International Airport’s heating and cooling towers Saturday morning.

He was found by Denver Fire Department divers at 11:18 a.m. in 20 feet of water in the well, about two hours after witnesses saw the paint inspector fall.

The Denver coroner said Monday in a statement that although the autopsy on Remley’s body is complete, a determination of cause and manner of death await test results.
