A veteran of former President Jimmy Carter’s campaign and Vice President Joe Biden’s 2008 senior advisor in Iowa will lead Andrew Romanoff’s bid for the U.S. Senate, his campaign announced Monday.
Bill Romjue, who also helped former Sen. Gary Hart in his presidential bid, brings three decades of Democratic political experience to Romanoff’s campaign, which has faced criticism for a lack of a prominent manager. Romanoff is challenging fellow Democrat Sen. Michael Bennet for his seat.
“I am delighted to put a talented leader like Bill Romjue at the top of our team,” Romanoff said. “Bill shares my determination to fight for the families of Colorado, who have been forgotten by too many federal officials.”
