
Douglas County-based TV Telecom will join the North American Aerospace Defense Command in Colorado Springs to help track Santa Claus as he delivers toys to girls and boys around the world tonight.
NORAD has been tracking Santa Claus since 1958 using a combination of radar, satellites, SantaCams and jet fighters.
This year, approximately 1,200 volunteers will help monitor and report Santa Claus’ movements around the globe over a 25-hour period.
“NORAD and Peterson Air Force Base rely on tw telecom to make sure that every child who calls the ‘NORAD Tracks Santa’ hotline gets through to receive the most up-to-date information on Santa’s location,” TW Telecom said in a statement Tuesday.
To track Santa, families can call 1-877-HI- NORAD (1-877-446-6723) or visit the “NORAD Tracks Santa” website at . The site offers information in seven languages — English, Spanish, French, Italian, German, Japanese and Chinese.
