Monday. An eco-conscious Kwanzaa celebration will be held from 6-8 p.m. at Brother Jeff’s Cultural Center & Cafe, 2836 Welton St. in Denver. Activities include nutritious treats, African drumming and education on recycling and living a greener lifestyle. Participants are asked to bring a sustainable food (no pork or beef, no white sugar or white bread/flour products, preferably locally sourced) and recyclable dishes, cups or cutlery. Today. The Black American West Museum offers games, crafts, scavenger hunts and interactive activities designed to illuminate life in the pioneer West. Classic comes to life. There’s still time to see “The Haunted Man,” a staging of the last of Charles Dickens’ Christmas Books, at the Heritage Square Music Hall in Golden.
