The Colorado Eagles-Rapid City Rush game tonight will be played as scheduled after the teams and the Central Hockey League postponed Saturday night’s game because of safety concerns and weather-related travel issues.

The makeup date for Saturday’s game has yet to be decided. Tonight’s game at the Budweiser Events Center in Loveland begins at 7 p.m.

University of Northern Colorado senior guard Whitley Cox was named the Big Sky women’s basketball player of the week after averaging 22.3 points and 4.7 rebounds in wins over Mesa State and Bradley and a loss to Saint Mary’s (Calif.).

• Chelsea Williamson of Metro State received the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference East Division player of the week honor for averaging 19.5 points and four rebounds in victories over Dominican (Calif.) and Montana State-Billings. Western State freshman Katie Hall got the West Division nod after grabbing 13 rebounds and blocking four shots in an upset of Alaska-Anchorage, the No. 5 team in Division II.

• Donte Nicholas of Metro State won the men’s East Division weekly award after averaging a double-double (20.5 points, 10 rebounds) in wins over Carroll College and Black Hills State. Mesa State senior guard Mike Dominguez got the West Division honor after averaging 21 points and 8.5 rebounds as the Mavericks split a pair of games at the Quincy (Ill.) University Holiday Tournament.
