Two men and a woman have been arrested in connection with the death of 25-year- old Kendrick Anthony Williams early Tuesday at the Riviera Motel at 9100 East Colfax Ave.
Aurora police today announced the arrests of Riley William Godfrey, 27; Marquesa Lanell Johnson, 21; and Darrius Dayvon Turner, 19. All three are from Aurora.
Police were called to the motel at about 2:30 a.m. Tuesday on report of a fight. They found Williams inside a motel room with a single gunshot wound. He died at a hospital a short time later, police said.
A search of the area, with the aid of a police dog, led to the arrest of two of the suspects a short time later, and a third was arrested later in the day.
All three are being held on suspicion of murder after deliberation and felony menacing with a deadly weapon, court records show.
The cause of the alleged fight have not been released.
Records show Godfrey has an extensive arrest history, including charges involving drugs, burglary, trespassing and escape. Johnson and Turner do not appear to have previous adult arrest records.
