ORLANDO, Fla.—The Powerball jackpot was expected to grow to an estimated $25 million for Saturday since no one matched all six of the numbers in the midweek drawing, the Multi-State Lottery Association said.
The winning numbers on Wednesday were 5, 14, 38, 39 and 52. The Powerball was 6 and the Power Play number was 3.
Players matching all five numbers and the Powerball would have won or shared the $20 million jackpot.
A Power Play ticket sold in Tennessee matched the first five numbers only to win $1 million. The top prize in Colorado was $10,000 for a ticket that matched the Powerball, plus four of the other numbers, Colorado Lottery officials said.
Powerball was created in 1992 and launched in Colorado in 2001.
The game is now played in 31 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
