Milan Hejduk, a veteran of several Czech Republic national and Olympic teams, was passed over for the 2010 Czech Olympic team today.

But the Avalanche right wing told reporters in Ottawa that the decision was partly his, after consulting with Czech coach Vladimir Ruzicka. Hejduk has had some knee problems this season, and felt resting during the Olympic break, Feb. 12-28, would be better for him and the Avs.
