Three men kicked in the back door of a home in the 4100 block of Clayton Street, demanded money and fired two shots at the homeowner, Denver police said this morning.
The incident occurred about 8 p.m. Tuesday, according to Sonny Jackson, spokesman for the Denver Police Department.
The victim was hit in the leg by one of the bullets and taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, said Jackson.
