Action sports wild man Travis Pastrana will attempt his biggest stunt yet tonight when he tries to shatter the world record (of 171 feet) for the longest jump in a rally car, from the Pine Street Pier in Long Beach, Calif., onto a barge anchored in the harbor. “It looks absolutely ridiculous,” said Pastrana, who wants to break that mark by more than 100 feet and will have a 1,000-foot run to get the car up to about 100 mph before hitting the takeoff ramp. “If I land where the current world record is, I’m landing in the water,” he said. “I don’t really have a choice there.”
