GREELEY — The details of a December crash involving a speeding driver and a Weld County sherriff’s deputy aren’t in question. But the identity of the speeder is.

Authorities say a man driving a Chrysler Sebring sped by a trooper at about 100 mph on Dec. 21. The trooper gave chase, and the Sebring slammed into the side of a truck.

The speeder remains in the hospital under the name of 19-year-old Miguel A. Ginez-Altamirano.

However, investigators say that a photo on the man’s driver’s license shows it is not him.
