Colorado freshman Meagan Malcolm-Peck scored a career-high 19 points and went 4-for-4 from 3-point range to lead the Buffaloes to a 78-71 victory over Yale on Monday night at the Coors Events Center in Boulder.
Malcolm-Peck, who went scoreless in Saturday’s loss to No. 23 Virginia, was one of four Colorado players to score in double figures. Freshman Chucky Jeffery tied her career high with 19 points, junior Brittany Spears added 15 and senior Bianca Smith came off the bench and scored 10.
Jeffery also led Colorado with nine assists, tying her career best, and had seven rebounds.
Yale (4-8) led 34-33 at halftime, but the Buffs found their stride in the second half, outscoring the Bulldogs 10-2 in the second half’s first 2:49 to open a 43-36 advantage. Colorado (10-3) then pushed its lead to 15 three times in the final nine minutes.
Michelle Cashen led Yale with 18 points.
The Buffs begin Big 12 Conference play Saturday against Missouri in Boulder.
