Denver police today arrested a 17-year-old in connection with a stabbing death early Sunday at Fourth Avenue and Utica Street.
The teen, who is not named because he is a juvenile, was arrested at his home without incident, Denver police said in a statement. He faces a charge of first-degree murder.
The victim was indentified by authorities today as 25-year-old Eloy C. Duran of Denver.
Investigators said a fracas at a party in the in the 400 block of Tennyson Street at about 2:20 a.m. Sunday led to a fight on the street that led to the stabbing, police said.
The victim was rushed to Denver Health Medical Center, where he died from his wounds at about noon.
