LINCOLN, Neb.—Former Nebraska quarterback Joe Ganz is joining the Cornhuskers’ football staff as an offensive intern.

Ganz said Tuesday that his duties are undefined but that he’ll probably work in the video department and in strength and conditioning.

The 24-year-old Ganz graduated in December 2008. He said he didn’t pursue a graduate assistant’s job because he didn’t want to take classes.

Ganz was a record-setting passer as the Huskers’ starter late in 2007 and for the entire 2008 season. He did some radio and TV work this past fall.

Ganz said he wants to coach football and was “flattered” when Nebraska coach Bo Pelini offered him a position on the staff.
