News: Yonder Mountain and Matt Morris looking forward to late-night TV performances

David Letterman — and one of his late-night networkmates — will will get visits from Colorado musicians this month.

Two Colorado acts will be hanging out with some of the largest television audiences of their lives in the coming weeks. That’s right, Boulder-based and Denver-based (who is releasing his debut LP on Justin Timberlake’s Tennman Records a week from today) will be hanging with the late-night TV boys in January.

Yonder will hang with Craig Ferguson on “The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson” tonight on CBS, surely playing a track from its “The Show” — the band’s best CD to date. (Listen to the excellent newish tracks “Fingerprint” and “Complicated” .) The band is fresh off three big New Year’s shows — all of which were reviewed here at Reverb. Check them out , and .

Morris will play the show before Ferguson’s — CBS’s “The Late Show With David Letterman” — in a couple Fridays on Jan. 15. Morris’ “When Everything Breaks Open” comes out a week from today on a record label that was founded by a former mouseketeer buddy of his, Justin Timberlake.
