EVERGREEN, Colo.—A Jefferson County high school is mourning the deaths of two teenagers in a three-car crash on U.S. 285.
Colorado State Patrol Trooper David Hall says the teens died after their northbound 1995 Honda Civic lost control and crossed into oncoming traffic Tuesday evening.
Sixteen-year-old Kenneth P. Barnett of Evergreen was driving the Civic. Also killed was his 16-year-old passenger, Mara C. Parslow of Morrison. Both attended Conifer High School.
Barnett’s 18-year-old brother, Austin, was in the back seat and was hospitalized in fair condition.
The other two drivers also survived.
An investigation was planned.
