NEW YORK — Prosecutors said Tuesday that Galleon Group founder Raj Rajaratnam reaped at least $36 million in illicit profits through improper insider trading — more than double the amount they had previously alleged.
In a court filing, prosecutors from the U.S. Attorney’s office in Manhattan said they plan to seek a superseding indictment that will expand the criminal charges against Rajaratnam.
