A business owner collapsed Wednesday morning as firefighters snuffed out a blaze in southwest Denver.
Fire broke out about 3:40 a.m. at 4320 Morrison Road, said Lt. Phil Champagne, a Denver Fire Department spokesman.
The fire started in the back of a retail complex, in a shop or automotive maintenance area, Champagne said.
More than 30 firefighters “aggressively” worked on the blaze, Champagne said, stamping it out in about 15 minutes.
The property owner was called about the fire and was at the scene when he collapsed, Champagne said. He was taken to a local hospital. His condition was not available.
