ASPEN — Aspen saw more skiers during the holidays than the previous year — but the resort says visits are still down from pre-recession levels.
Aspen Skiing Co. said visits during the holiday period around Christmas and New Year’s were up 3 percent from 2008. Spokesman Jeff Hanle said spending on ski lessons and at mountain restaurants was also stronger this year.
