184 Copper Circle, Copper Mountain, CO 80443, 303-278-8338,
Rates: are $250 a night through Feb. 11 and $280 a night Feb. 12-March 31. They go down to $100 a night April 20-Oct. 31. Through the ski season, when you book for six nights, one person in your party gets a free lift ticket for the whole stay, and the rest of the group gets half-price lift tickets.
Stay here if you: want to be right next to the lifts and have four people or fewer to stay in a one-bedroom condo with a reasonably comfy sleeper sofa.
It’s close to: the American Eagle and American Flyer lifts, which are just on the other side of the ski racks. Copper One is smack-dab in the middle of Center Village (the condos are above Jack’s Bar, which was surprisingly not loud or obtrusive in any way).
The rooms are: not huge but big enough in which to maneuver with all your gear, sparsely but nicely decorated and very clean and cozy. They have gas fireplaces and balconies, and the kitchen is well-stocked. Our unit had a rather small dining room table, but it was adequate.
They put all of the money into: securing this sweet location, really one of the best for being right there.
The bottom line: With street-level lockers and a heated underground garage, this is a pretty good deal for Copper. The outdoor hot tub is a welcome perk, but it gets full at peak times, so go during dinner or earlier in the evening.
