ENGLEWOOD — Another area post office is in danger of being closed.
The United States Postal Service is looking at closing the Broadway Post Office in Englewood.
The Postal Service told Englewood officials it would be shutting down the post office at 3330 S. Broadway because of budget constraints.
Englewood Deputy City Manager Michael Flaherty said the post office is near two housing authority complexes that serve the elderly. Shutting it down would be a big blow to that community, he said.
Several post offices in the area have been targeted for closure. Flaherty said the Englewood branch would remain open until the Postal Service sells the property.
